Paying with Bitcoin — step by step
Never used Bitcoin before? The first time takes about 10 minutes, one time only. After that, paying takes under a minute — it's just scanning a code.
Part 1 — Get Bitcoin (one-time setup)
We recommend Cash App. It's free, and most people finish setup in a few minutes.
- Download Cash App on your phone and create an account.
- Verify your identity when it asks (a photo of your driver's license). One-time only, usually takes a few minutes.
- Add money: link your debit card or bank account and add cash to the app.
- Tap the Bitcoin tab, tap Buy, and buy a little more than your order total — about $5 extra covers the small network fee. Example: your order is $79, buy about $85 of Bitcoin.
That's it — you now own Bitcoin and can pay any store that accepts it.
Part 2 — Pay at checkout
- On our checkout page, choose Pay with Bitcoin.
- You'll see a QR code and an exact Bitcoin amount. Leave that page open.
- In Cash App, go to the Bitcoin tab, tap Send, and scan the QR code on the checkout page (you can also copy and paste the address).
- Check the amount matches the checkout page exactly, then confirm the send.
- Done. You can close the pages — your payment is on its way.
Already have Bitcoin in another wallet? Even faster: open your wallet, scan the QR code at checkout, send the exact amount shown, done.
Part 3 — What happens next
- The Bitcoin network confirms your payment — usually within the hour, often much faster.
- You'll get an email when your payment is confirmed, and that's when we start preparing your order.
- The payment code at checkout is good for about 15 minutes. If the timer runs out, don't send to the old code — just restart checkout and you'll get a fresh one.
Quick answers
- Q: I've never used Bitcoin — is this hard?
- A: No. If you can use Venmo or Cash App, you can do this. Part 1 is a one-time setup; after that, paying is just scan and send.
- Q: Why do I buy a little extra Bitcoin?
- A: Sending Bitcoin has a small network fee (usually a dollar or two). Buying about $5 extra makes sure the full amount arrives. Leftover Bitcoin just stays in your Cash App for next time.
- Q: What if I send the wrong amount?
- A: Send the exact amount shown at checkout — it's printed right next to the QR code. If something goes wrong, message us in the #support channel of our Discord and we'll sort it out.
- Q: Is it safe?
- A: Yes. You send from your own app, on your own phone. We never see your password, your bank info, or your wallet keys. One caution: Bitcoin payments can't be reversed like a card payment, so double-check the amount and the code before you tap send.
- Q: Why Bitcoin only?
- A: Card processors charge businesses like ours steep fees — and many refuse us entirely. Bitcoin keeps our costs down, which is how our prices stay low. Card payments are planned for later.
- Q: Do you accept other coins?
- A: Bitcoin (BTC) only for now. Please don't send any other coin to the checkout code — it won't arrive.
